Trip to Southeast Asia

In July and August 2003 we traveled around South East Asia. We have visited Thailand and Malaysia before, so we concentrated mostly on the exciting Vietnam. In Thailand you will experience Bangkok, which we think is absolutely fantastic. You either love the city or you hate it. There isn't really a middle ground. Find out what Khao San Road and Pat Pong have to offer. Let us guide you through the vast array of temples and Buddhas. Malaysia boasts a stunning island, Perhentian, which is second only to the islands of Thailand. Read about how to make your way back to civilization. What do you do when no one speaks English? Play a round of golf in the cooler climes of Bukit Fraser and enjoy the Steam Boat in the evening. Discover the modern metropolis of Kuala Lumpur. Here you'll find China Town, Twin Towers and more. Vietnam contains all contrasts. Rich and poor people alike are part of the cityscape. Old and new neighborhoods characterize the major cities that are undergoing rapid development. It is possible to trek in the mountains of Sapa and take boat trips on Halong Bay. Slow trains snake from city to city, while speed-crazed motorcyclists race around the towns. Try having clothes tailored in Hoi An instead of just buying clothes in markets. In short, Vietnam has it all or it's in the making.
