1. Fitting at the Tailor

At 8 AM, the first boat sailed back to the mainland, so we got up early to catch it. There are several taxi jeeps that head down to the harbor, and you can just hop on for 20 baht. We arrived at the harbor in time to catch the 9 AM bus to Bangkok. By 12:30 PM, we reached the bus station in Bangkok, where we grabbed a taxi to Jysk Rejsebureau's hotel. We took the highway, which meant we had to pay an extra 40 baht for the toll. At Jysk Rejsebureau, we booked a room, even though it’s a bit pricier than Khao San Road, but we wanted to sleep without all the street noise. The room cost 665 baht, including breakfast. In the afternoon, we headed to St Michael's for our first fitting. Honny tried on her coat, which looked really nice. My clothes weren’t quite ready for fitting yet, so we had to come back later. I had bought a scarf in Vietnam and wanted to have the fringes removed from the ends. The tailor took care of that for me for free. Across from St Michael's, there was an Indian restaurant where we decided to have lunch, but the food turned out to be really bad and expensive, which was a big disappointment. Later, we went back to the Pat Pong area for dinner since there’s a great selection of restaurants there.
