Last day of our journey through Asia

Today was all about packing up our things, and it was quite the task. Once we managed to fit everything in, we stored our luggage at the hotel so we wouldn’t have to worry about it until we headed to the airport in the evening. There was a big shopping mall, Robinson, near our hotel, so we walked over to find a white T-shirt for Honny. It was tough to find one of decent quality, but we succeeded for 220 baht. I ended up buying a pair of jeans for 1200 baht, which is a bit pricey compared to market prices, but the quality in malls is definitely better. The Skytrain station was close to Robinson, so we hopped on a random train for 40 baht per ticket to explore a new part of Bangkok. We ended up near Pat Pong, where there isn’t much to see during the daytime. So, we headed back to Sizzlers for lunch. Honny wanted to get a handheld game for the flight, so we went to MBK to see if we could find one. He ended up buying a Game Boy for 2800 baht. We didn’t think it was cheap considering the price level in Thailand, but compared to Game Boy prices in Denmark, it was a steal. We saved the best restaurant for last. We went to Indian Hot, which was voted the best restaurant in Bangkok back in 2003, for dinner. We visited it last time we were in Thailand, and I had been looking forward to eating there again. It cost us 656 baht for two people. We just had enough time to get back to the hotel for a shower before heading to the airport. There was another couple flying home that evening, so we shared a taxi with them for 300 baht. Luckily, we made it through customs in Bangkok and Denmark with all our DVDs without any issues.
