Mexico, Guatemala & Belize
About our holiday in Central America in 2007 Explore Mexico, Guatemala & Belize through our first-hand travel stories, photos, routes, practical tips and…
It is amazing to be able to travel to warmer weathers paticuarly in January and February when the Danish weather is so bad. Mexico offers a change to go back and explore indians tribes where several still exist today, magnificiant sceneries... and of course the taste of tequila. Guatemala is a country set in a beautiful nature with many vulcanoes. How many can say they have climbed an active vulcano? Don't miss the many tribes. Visit the market, Chichicastenango , where the tribes gather at market days. The perfect ending of a good trip is to visit Belize and its very warm climate before going back to good, old but cold Denmark. Belize can be proud of it's islands. Caye Caulker is the smaller and less developed island. Walk barefooted around, no cars allowed, eat lobster on the "main road" and snorkle to see the fantastic coral reefs. Ambergris is the larger and most developed island. If you enjoy many american resorts, then head directly to Ambergris.
