Mexico

Mexico is much more than sombreros, tacos and half empty tequila bottles. The country has a colourful population, ancient culture and adventurous destinations. In the central squares of the fine colonial cities you can enjoy a cool summer evening in the company of Mexicans who seem to flock to the streets as darkness falls and street musicians serenade and sing mariachi ballads wearing sombreros, thin moustaches and stylish suits. Relax by the beach over a margarita or two, or explore the cacti and ghost towns of the wild west desert. Mexico is also the land of opportunity when it comes to active travel. Within days you can stand on top of ice and snow-capped volcanoes and swim with colourful fish among coral reefs. You can cycle or trek through cloud forests to the sound of chirping birds or climb vertical rock walls.
