Sightseeing in Frisco

We’ve narrowed down the last few must-see spots in San Francisco. So today, we set off on a long sightseeing tour. The buses cost just a dollar, and you can use the ticket three times in one day. However, not many drivers check your ticket, so it’s pretty easy to ride multiple times on the same fare. First, we took a bus out to the Castro district, which is known for its LGBTQ+ community. Can you say that the LGBTQ+ scene is a sightseeing attraction? If not, there’s not much else to see out there. There isn’t a special vibe that envelops the neighborhood anymore, but it probably stood out more from other places a few years back. After a short walk from Castro, we made our way to the Mission, where we heard there are plenty of cozy and affordable eateries. But before we could find a nice spot for lunch, we instead encountered a few unpleasant characters begging for money or shouting at us. We didn’t feel safe, so we cut our exploration of this neighborhood short and headed to Haight-Ashbury, the old hippie district. This is where the culture first emerged and developed before spreading to European countries. Today, there’s just a small remnant of that rebellious lifestyle left. Most shops still carry a selection of hippie clothing, bongs, and Eastern-inspired items that all reflect that era. Haight-Ashbury is definitely worth a visit, unlike Castro and Mission, which have changed too much and aren’t what they used to be. In the evening, we dined at Little Joe's in North Beach. We celebrated our last days in the USA and an absolutely wonderful trip. Little Joe's is an incredibly cozy restaurant, and you really feel like you get your money’s worth. We shared a bottle of wine with our meal, which cost around 30 dollars—hard to find cheaper than that—and then we headed over to Condor, a bar just across the street. There, we met the most entertaining people and partied with them for the rest of the night. By the way, always remember to bring your passport if you want to withdraw money inside the bank. Be prepared for them to take your fingerprints for security purposes.
