Unrest in Bangkok

There are demonstrations happening in the capital today, which have spread to the airport, temporarily closing it to all flights. We’ve passed by several roadblocks and government buildings that are under extra security. Other than that, we haven’t seen or heard much about the protests. It’s going to be interesting to see if we can make it home tomorrow... According to the TV2 website, bullets are flying through the air in Bangkok's troubled capital. It sounds like Mary and Frederik, who are on an official visit, are in a war zone. The demonstrations aren’t really affecting us here. People aren’t talking about it on the streets. It’s all happening a bit quietly. We’re just going about our shopping and enjoying some Thai massages, hoping we can get back to Denmark as planned :) PAD, the People's Alliance for Democracy, isn’t a party that supports democracy for the entire population—just for the wealthier part of Thailand. They also want a change in government due to suspicions of corruption.
