Baiyoke Sky Hotel is Thailand's tallest hotel, standing at 82 stories high, and it's always booked weeks in advance. We’ve been lucky enough to snag the last two nights here, staying on the 64th floor in the sky zone. We booked a deluxe room online for 3,050 baht. The walk-in rate is 6,000 baht, so there’s a lot of money to save by booking stays at these pricier hotels online. Baiyoke is super popular. There's a revolving viewpoint at the top, several restaurants, a golf course, a pool, and more. Our hotel room offers a panoramic view of the entire city—absolutely stunning, especially in the evening. Plus, there’s a free shuttle to BMK every hour! :) Baiyoke is quite the bustling place. Tons of tourists come every day to enjoy the view from the 76th floor. Luckily, it’s really quiet around the rooms. You can only access the floors with rooms if you have a key card, so we sleep peacefully. At check-in, we received a bunch of discount coupons for various restaurants and beauty treatments. We had dinner at the Crystal Grill and Buffet Restaurant. The floor below has the Sky Buffet, which is cheaper but often much noisier. Instead, opt for the Crystal Restaurant higher up and enjoy dinner in peace with the most beautiful view of the city. The food is exquisite, and the selection is enormous. They have dishes from Thailand, India, China, Italy, seafood, grilled items, and more. The dessert selection is also quite impressive. You’re guaranteed to leave with a full belly for just 620 baht. We wrapped up the evening at the Sky Lounge, entertained by a couple from Russia who didn’t speak any English—but they sure knew how to drink! :)
