We’re lucky to have good insurance, so we won’t have to deal with the extra costs that the demonstrations in Bangkok are going to bring us. We were all set to head home on November 27th since we’ll be traveling again soon. We're trying to make the most of our time here, but we’re really looking forward to Monday when we’ll be heading back to Denmark. Our unexpected stop in Siem Reap has given us the chance to visit some girls we met last time. Back then, they were both working as masseuses. One of them was going to school to learn English, while the other came from a poorer family with no opportunity for an education. Today, the girl from the less fortunate background is still working as a masseuse with no prospects for anything else. On the other hand, the girl who had a bit more means has “escaped” and is now working at a hotel as a cashier—she’s achieved her dream of working in a hotel. Unfortunately, not everyone gets to see their dreams come true.
