Weather can change from one moment to the next. When we stood up, shining sun. We went to the grocery store to buy breakfast, and came straight back to our hostel, before the heavens opened and it poured down with water. It continued to rain the rest of the day. The rain is nice and warm, so its comfortable to go out, you will just drift wet. We saw very little lava yesterday, so it is free for us to join the evening up to the volcano again. We just pay 4 usd per person entrance fee to national park. It was raining still, as we drove away from Arenal. The clouds hung low. The prospect of seeing the volcano peak was small. But the wizard was optimistic. He went on to say that the rain would thin out the clouds. If it stopped entirely in the rain, it would be cloudless, and we would get the best view. The rain eased, but the clouds were imminent. Practise we thought. But Arenal was unusually active. Through all the clouds, we saw how the forging red-hot stone, which rolled down the sides and left long red trail. It was really nice. Monday (and Thursday evening) is a great karaoke night at Chelas. We went there together with two local girls who work at our hostel. They were in a wild celebration mood and was really happy for U.S. tourists - guys. Jan was up and sing "My Way" with David from New York. You gave a really nice track.
