One should always remember what country youre in. Never take safety for granted. This morning we went for a short trip to find something to eat and raise money. Weve got a double room at the same hostel, but it was being cleaned. Meanwhile had luggage stored in a single place with a lot of other backpacks. We did not think that it was safe to leave our great digital camera there, so we took the camera bag. Approximately 400 m away from the hostel we found an ATM, which we easily got raised money. Out on the street again I felt after 5 seconds, the backpack was easy. We should have had the front of the stomach. But it was smoked on the back as usual - really a stupid mistake. A light-fingered-person had opened the bag and took the big camera. Practise. A lady had seen it all and came immediately to us. She described the man to police, who quickly came over to us. They said we were lucky that they only had the camera. They see people being robbed EVERY day. Thieves are professionals. They do not want to work and theft is fast money. When I think after there was a lady who kept walking in front of me on the pavement, so I could not get past and over to January She was a nice lady in nice clothes. So I did not grasp suspicion. She had walked in front of me just before we went into the bank and down the street again, she was suddenly in front of me again. She diverted my attention, so a person behind it could open the bag. We are quite ok, but tired of the pictures that we have lost. It is simply too unsafe to travel around with a good camera in many countries. Last time we were robbed, the thieves also went after the big camera. It signals too much money. We have to make do with small digital camera that we can have in your pocket. We have been at the police and obtained a report. It took a while because not many people speak English. So we have had pointy ears to understand their Spanish vocabulary:)
