We are in Tenerife and arrived in the northern capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife – the island's largest city with over 200,000 inhabitants 🌴 The weather looked a bit gray at first, so we made a quick decision to rent a car for the day and drove south. When you book spontaneously, you can feel it in the price – 120 euros 😅 On the other hand, we hit the sunnier southern coast, where the temperature was 23 degrees and sunny, compared to the north's 17 degrees. The southern coastal towns we visited were very touristy – both good and bad. Especially Los Gigantes, Playa de las Américas, and Los Cristianos – there are definitely more tourists than locals here 😀 But the weather was fantastic, and it’s all about making the most of the day. Late in the afternoon, we headed back to Santa Cruz, where the weather had now improved significantly. We are docked until 10 PM, so after dinner on the ship, we also enjoyed the Christmas atmosphere at the harbor 🎄 Spaniards really go all out for Christmas – huge concerts, amusement parks, Christmas markets, and lots of life. Now we are sailing on to La Gomera 🚢 Thank you for lending us your lovely island, Anne Hindrichsen and Nicholai Hindrichsen – you know it far better than we do ❤️
