Today we visited La Gomera on our cruise π’ The island is significantly less touristy than the other Canary Islands, as it is mainly accessed by ferry from Tenerife β and there are no direct flights from Europe. The pace is slower, nature is more dominant, and there are far fewer tourists. This provides a completely different and more authentic experience than, for example, Gran Canaria and Tenerife πΏ La Gomera is one of the most beautiful islands β especially alongside La Palma and El Hierro. Islands that share the same wild nature, green mountains, and the feeling of being far away from mass tourism. We had rented a car in advance, which was ready at the harbor π A bit cheaper than yesterday's car rental. Today we only paid 300 kr. From the island, we could spot Tenerife on the horizon and the snow-capped volcano Teide. It was incredibly beautiful π We knew that La Gomera had stunning nature, and we were certainly not disappointed! La Gomera deserves far more than just one day. We have only had a taste of the charming towns, dramatic mountain landscapes, and the laid-back atmosphere that the island offers. There are no huge resorts here, and that definitely has its advantages π It is certainly not the last time we visit the island β€οΈβπ₯
