πŸ‡²πŸ‡¦ Agadir, Morocco | December 23 Today we woke up to yet another new port – this time Agadir in southern Morocco. With the whole day in port (08–22), we had plenty of time, so we had pre-booked a car πŸš— – 344 kr. for a whole day and complete freedom. The traffic is relatively simple, especially outside the city, and it's easy to get around on your own. We started early and drove towards Paradise Valley 🌴 – about a 50-minute drive from Agadir. Beautiful nature with palm trees and cliffs, as well as a cozy little hike in the valley. It was a bit chilly in the morning, but the tranquility and surroundings made the trip worth it all. Back in the city, we visited Souk El Had πŸ›οΈ – a large local market filled with life, scents, and colors. Here you really feel the everyday life in Morocco – chaotic, but in a good way. We did some serious shopping and, as always, had to negotiate hard to get good prices πŸ™πŸ˜€ Our first trip to Morocco many years ago offered beautiful nature experiences, but also some not-so-great encounters with the people we met. The later visits – especially today – have been completely different. We experienced plenty of helpfulness and friendly Moroccans along the way. Even Mette had to give in 😊 The beach and corniche were also worth a visit 🌊. It’s a bit cooler in Agadir, but we still hit a maximum temperature of 21 degrees and had sun all day from an almost cloudless sky. After a long and eventful day, we returned the car and were back on the ship by 7:00 PM 🚒
