🌋 Route of the Volcanoes – in a child-friendly version 🥾 Today we took a shortened version of the Route of the Volcanoes – about 3.5 hours of hiking instead of the usual 7–8 hours the route takes. The long version requires transport back, but today we chose a shorter, more manageable – and clearly child-friendly – round trip. Our kids can easily walk the entire route, but it was the vibe today that influenced our decision 🙏 We made the trip as a beautiful round tour from and to Refugio El Pilar, and it turned out to be a perfect choice 🙌 Dramatic volcanic landscapes, black lava fields, pine forests, and wild views – without having to go all the way down towards Fuencaliente. Great nature, plenty of wow experiences, and still energy left 😍🌋🌲 At the top, it was a bit chilly – around 7–8 degrees – so the contrast was noticeable when we later drove to the west coast and Tazacorte ☀️ Here, 22 degrees awaited, sunshine, a cozy harbor, a nice dinner by the water's edge – and of course swimming and playing in the black lava sand 🖤🌊 La Palma can really do it all in one day 👌 #RouteOfTheVolcanoes #LaPalma #ElPilar #Tazacorte #Hiking #FamilyTrip #Nature #TravelTracks
