We are staying on La Palma 🏝️

The most terrible thing has happened… 😱⛴️ We are on a cruise – and we missed our ship to the next port… Yes, you read that right. There’s hardly anything worse than standing on land and watching your cruise ship slowly glide away on the horizon… minute by minute… while you stand there helpless 😳 La Palma behind us. The sea in front of us. The ship… gone. Or wait… 🤨 Because the truth is, fortunately, a bit less catastrophic – and much better 😄 It was all completely intentional. We had actually agreed in advance with the cruise company AIDA that we would disembark about 20 hours before arriving in Gran Canaria. Instead, we chose to say goodbye to the ship here in La Palma – and stay. So while the ship sails on without us, we remain on this beautiful, dramatic, and green island 🌋🌴 We’ll be here all the way until after New Year’s and are really looking forward to exploring La Palma’s wild nature, tranquility, and atmosphere. Some missed ships are actually the right ones 😉
