Azerbaijan surprised us with modern Baku, mud volcanoes, the Caucasus Mountains and a warm family homestay in the mountain town of Lahij.
Azerbaijan stretches from the Caspian Sea to the Caucasus Mountains and proved far more rewarding than we expected. During twelve days on the road we experienced futuristic Baku, a homestay in Lahij, Sheki Palace, Ganja, mud volcanoes and the burning hillside of Yanar Dağ.
