Next stop: Baku in Azerbaijan ✈️

Yesterday we drove to Hamburg and stayed overnight at the lovely Marriott Hotel right next to the airport 🏨✨ For dinner, we found a cozy local German restaurant 🍽️🍻, before it was time for a good night’s sleep ahead of the journey out into the world. Right now we’re sitting on the plane, and in just a few minutes we’ll be heading via Istanbul 🇹🇷 toward a new adventure 🌍🙌 Yesterday we drove to Hamburg and stayed overnight at the lovely Marriott Hotel right next to the airport 🏨✨ For dinner, we found a cozy local German restaurant 🍽️🍻, before it was time for a good night’s sleep ahead of the journey out into the world. With only 75 minutes between our flights at Istanbul Airport, there isn’t much time to experience the incredibly beautiful airport ✈️ And yes… it really is impressive 😍 Luckily, our flight from Hamburg arrived a full 25 minutes early, so we could take things a bit more relaxed😅 At the gate to Baku, the next surprise came… the flight was overbooked 😳 Turkish Airlines therefore offered 3,000 DKK per person to take the next departure at 01:00 tonight. That would mean around 12,000 DKK for us as a family 💸 Very tempting, to say the least 😅 But we decided to skip it because of the inconvenient departure time. What would you have done? Taken the money or kept the original departure? 🤔
