French Alps & South of France

Just returned from our trip to the south of France in the absolute high season. An inspiration for an upcoming summer vacation destination with good weather and moderate European temperatures ☀️😎✌️Vi had about 26 degrees on average and lots of sunshine ✌️ We flew roundtrip with Ryanair from Billund to Turin (Italy), located at the foot of the Alps. Price 650 kr total per person + luggage. The route: 1. Turin 2. Chamonix (with a focus on hiking in the Alps) 3. Lake Annecy 4. Alpe d'Huez (hiking and biking up the mountain) 5. Verdon gorge 6. French Riviera: Cannes, Nice, Monaco and Menton 7. Piedmont wine regions. Among others Barolo It's a route that offers many experiences. Hiking in the French Alps around Chamonix is world class. Beautiful towns and beach vacations on the French Riviera and Lake Annecy were also good. New country for all 4 of us was Monaco. Accommodation was both in hotels and local Airbnb hosts. Average accommodation price around 880kr for all 4 of us. Most expensive overnight stay Monaco 1350 kr Cheapest overnight stay Torino 650 kr France has a comparable price level to Denmark. Italy is generally cheaper💰 We splurged on car rental 🚘 However, a Jeep Renegade hybrid cost only 200kr per day. Cheaper alternatives were as low as 120kr per day. Car rental has come down to a reasonable price range igen✌️
