Alpe d'Huez - the famous Tour de France mountain stage

We’ve moved on to Alpe d’Huez. Probably the most famous mountain stage in the Tour de France ends right here in the town of Alpe d’Huez, which sits at an elevation of 1860 meters. Cycling the stage with its 21 hairpin turns has always been on my bucket list. It’s a 14 km climb that just goes up, up, and up again. I knew it would be incredibly tough, but now the opportunity was finally here. Yes, I did it!!! I crossed the finish line ♥️ I’m so unbelievably proud right now… and exhausted ⛰️🤘 The gradients of up to 15% were brutal. But what made it even tougher was cycling at high altitudes. Wow, you really start to feel the burn 😎 A little info: I rented a racing bike in Alpe d’Huez for 40 euros. I first cycled down to the town of Bourg d'Oisans, where I began the ascent.
