Volcanic island of Ometepe

Chicken bus from San Juan Del Sur to Rivas costs only 15 cordoba per ticket and takes about 1 hour. By busstionen we took a taxi down to the harbor, two usd, from which boat to Ometepe sailing. It takes about one hour and costs 30 cordoba per ticket. Excellent cheap transport today, bearing in mind that dividing by 3.5 to convert it into Danish kroner:) Ometepe is an island with two volcanoes, both of which can be climbed. It lies in the worlds largest lake. I thought that there could be high waves on a lake, but I was wrong when it is the worlds largest lake. Wow boat rocked as our stomachs. The lake is connected with the sea via a river, why there are sharks in Lago de Nicaragua. There are several towns on the island. The roads are bad, why it takes time to get around. We have chosen to live in the city Moyogalpa, who is also the town where the ferry sails to. From here would be the best opportunities to arrange volcano Hiking. We try to keep our consumption down. An accommodation should preferably cost less than 20 usd. One meal per man should preferably be kept below 100 cordoba. Both currencies are used in America, why it is good to have usd from home.
