Tongariro Alpine Crossing

Today we have been on an insanely beautiful hike. So beautiful that it has been voted among the 10 most beautiful in the world 😍 'Tongariro Alpine Crossing' Yes, also one of the most beautiful we've been on... The route is 19.4 km. It took us about 7 hours and without understatement our legs are a bit tired now. The route is tough but definitely worth all the effort 😎 Lava formations, turquoise lakes, volcanic craters in red and black, dizzying views and sulfuric steam seeping out of active volcanoes. It's a must-do on a trip to New Zealand if, like us, you're captivated by beautiful nature.
