Mount Taranaki is a strato volcano, a cone-shaped volcano formed by the collision of two continental plates🌋 It's a truly beautiful and fascinating volcano, located in the eastern part of the North Island, all by itself. It's very impressive 😎 Right now it's dormant, but it's estimated that there's about a 2% chance of eruption every year 😗 We had planned to hike the volcano, but clouds often gather around mountains, so instead we saw the volcano from a distance and chose an alternative hike. Namely to the top of Paritutu Rock. Here we got a great view of the area in the sunshine. Villads was very proud of his achievement 😇 Another peak was reached on the trip😍
