The volcanic crater Caldera de Bandama 🌋

🇲🇦➡️🇮🇨 From few tourists to tourist overflow In Morocco, we encountered surprisingly few tourists – on Gran Canaria, it's a completely different story 😅 Especially in the south, it's bustling with holidaymakers, and yes… also in Maspalomas, where we are staying. Fortunately, it's easy to escape the tourist crowds if you venture a little into nature 🌿 So we headed north and took a beautiful hike around the volcanic crater Caldera de Bandama. 🌋 The volcano last erupted about 2,000 years ago, so we felt reasonably safe… 🙏😂 However, it was an explosive eruption that created the impressive crater. 🥾 The hike around the crater takes about 2 hours and is relatively easy. The view? Absolutely stunning 💚 Mountains, the dramatic crater, and we had fantastic weather, so we could see all the way to Las Palmas.
