One of the world's most beautiful hikes can be found in northern New Zealand. Join us on the unforgettable Tongariro Crossing hike where we conquer volcanoes. --- Today we took a fast boat from Padang Bai (Bali) to Gili Air Island. The boat ride took a couple of hours and was without big waves 🌊 The island is only 1.5 kilometers wide and long. There are 3 different Gili Islands in Lombok. Gili Air, Trawangan and Meno. We chose Air because it's neither too quiet (Meno) nor a party island (Trawangan), but is a bit in between 🤗 Unlike Bali, the island is predominantly Muslim, so prayers are called from one of the several mosques on the island fairly often 😎 There are no dogs, cars, or vehicles on the island. Transportation is by horse-drawn carriages and it's very charming. A great contrast to Bali 😀 Cats are allowed on the island, so there are a lot of them 😻 We are staying in a hotel with breakfast and swimming pool for 160 kr per night for all 4 of us 💰
