Hypnosis Show in Las Vegas

It finally happened... we arrived in Las Vegas, which some people consider one of the wonders of the world. Several kilometers before reaching the city, billboards for all sorts of hotels, restaurants, and casinos popped up along the roadside. We wanted to find one of the better hotels that offers weekday discounts. You can find some incredible deals on luxury hotels if you avoid the weekend rush. Las Vegas was overwhelming, and we didn’t have the energy to search for those amazing deals for too long. We were recommended the Maxim, located on a side street off "the Strip" with all the famous casinos. We got a really nice room with a view over the gaming city, just a stone's throw from the street where anything could happen. Would we leave here mega-rich or completely broke? That first evening, we didn’t get far from our hotel before something caught our attention... a hypnosis show. We struck up a conversation with the hypnotist's girlfriend, who promised us an amazing show. She was also kind enough to get us in for half price. We got to sit at her table, which had the perfect view. It turns out you can charm your way into deals in Las Vegas, so we laid it on thick. Mette wanted to try being hypnotized by Dr. Naughty, so she jumped up on stage when the hypnotist asked if anyone was interested. The volunteers were placed in a semicircle on stage, and then the hypnotist got to work. I thought they all looked pretty hypnotized, but Mette later explained the tricks he used to create the illusion that he actually had control over them. He looked deep into their eyes and asked them to sit with their mouths open, which certainly didn’t make them look very sensible. When it was time for them to "sleep," he pulled them so hard by the arm that they couldn’t help but topple to the side. I asked Mette why she went along with it when she didn’t feel hypnotized. She said it was because everyone else was doing it, and she wanted to experience being hypnotized, so she followed all his instructions. At one point, they were told to wake up and act completely drunk. The hypnotist picked a woman who seemed very much under his spell. She swayed on her feet, and he had to support her. The hypnotized could see from behind that he was holding her so tightly that she couldn’t help but rub against him. But she had already been acting like a dog in heat, so she was probably just flattered by all the sudden attention. Finally, they all had to wake up and act like nine-year-olds celebrating a birthday. Everyone got a party hat, a noisemaker, and a gift, but remember, the show is called Dr. Naughty, so they all received dildos, lollypops, whips, and other naughty items. Then they had to dance around with their gifts on stage. Again, Mette said the reason she danced around on stage with a giant phallus in her hand was that everyone else was doing it. She didn’t feel embarrassed since she wasn’t the only one. I should mention that some people actually did get hypnotized. They put on a strip show on stage, screamed every time he said a certain word, and believed there were rats on the floor. Maybe Mette didn’t get hypnotized because the session was conducted in very fast English, and she had to concentrate to understand his instructions. You really need to be relaxed and let his words flow into your subconscious. But the fact was, Mette felt just as refreshed afterward as she would after a 14-hour night’s sleep, just as the hypnotist promised, so maybe she was a little under his spell after all? We were definitely feeling fresh when we set out for our first casino adventure. I started off winning a decent amount of money, but could I hold onto it for the rest of our stay in Las Vegas?
