Strip Club in Vegas

We had decided that today would be our last day in Las Vegas; things were starting to get a bit pricey. Happy hour starts early in the USA, so we kicked off our farewell celebration in the gambling city around 5 in the afternoon. There was a happy hour at Hotel Bourbon Street, which is right next to Maxim. We kept it pretty moderate since we hadn’t had dinner yet, but it was nice to sit with a cold drink in hand and chat with some people we had met on our first night. They recommended heading downtown if we wanted to eat well but on the cheaper side. So, we took a taxi to a casino called Mainstation Downtown. I should mention that the casinos here aren’t nearly as impressive as those on Sunset Boulevard, but there are more strip clubs, so this area attracts quite a crowd. We wanted to see a real variety show, but they were ridiculously expensive, so I dragged Mette into a regular strip bar instead. There was even male stripping going on. There were some really old ladies sitting and swaying in their wheelchairs and with their walkers. It was such a bizarre sight to see a stripper giving a lap dance to an elderly woman. But hey, maybe you’re never too old…? We decided to walk from downtown to Sunset Boulevard. On our way back, we passed by the Little White Chapel, where Joan Collins and Lene and Søren from Aqua got married. This really is the city where a quick wedding can be arranged. Several places even advertise drive-through weddings. So you can get hitched before you’ve had a chance to think twice! Of course, we had to try our luck one last time, but unfortunately, we didn’t win a million for the wallet on this visit to Las Vegas.
