First day in Praia

We arrived after midnight on Sunday at Praia airport on the main island of Santiago (Cape Verde). Cape Verde is an independent country and a new country for us alle🇨🇻 It consists of 10 islands and on this trip we have handpicked 3 to visit: Santiago, Sao Vicente and Sao Antao 😀 . We are staying with a local family, so we were picked up at the airport by our host Paulo. We were all very tired, but the kids are doing great as always 😄 Our host father is super nice and we are staying in the basement of his house. He speaks Portuguese, but it's a language we don't speak 😅 So our communication is in Spanish 🇪🇸 Today we've been out and about exploring the city of Praia. What a photogenic, authentic and exciting city to take in. Lots of welcoming people😗 Here are some pictures of some of our experiences.
