At 8:30 AM, we were picked up and driven to the waterfalls on the Argentine side. The guided jungle tour up to the falls, along with transportation, cost 40 pesos per person. Entrance to the nature park was 30 pesos each. A boat ride right under the falls, plus a jungle tour in a truck, set us back 80 pesos per person. We were super excited to see the waterfalls, and they did not disappoint. The sheer volume of water crashing down is just breathtaking. We experienced the falls from the bottom, the top, and even from within when we took a boat that sailed right under the cascades. It was incredibly refreshing, especially since we were sweating buckets in the heat up here! :) It was a great trip, but unfortunately, our group got separated from some of us because they were in such a hurry and didn’t stop to enjoy the fantastic views. So, we had to navigate the tour on our own, but honestly, it was really easy. Plus, it meant we got a discount when we went for lunch at a restaurant... people not in a group get a discount, you know! :) Something funny happened while we were trudging through the jungle to see the falls. First, we ran into the English girls, Ashley and Lisa, again. We’re planning to party with them tonight. Then, we also bumped into Jesper and Annette from Aarhus. Jesper was the guy I shared an apartment with when I first moved to Aarhus. Funny enough, they’re staying at the same hotel as us! :) Before we got separated from the group, we had a great chat with a couple of French guys, one of whom helped build the Hilton in Hanoi, where we stayed for a night. After getting all sweaty and dirty from the trek to the waterfalls, a dip in the pool was just what we needed before meeting up with the English girls in the evening. Jesper and Annette were supposed to join us too, but due to the flight strike, they had to take the bus in the evening since their flight the next day was canceled.
