Once again, we woke up to a clear blue sky and wow, it was hot! We had booked a boat tour that started at 11:00 AM. It included snorkeling gear, lunch, water, and fruit. We were set to return at 7:00 PM after enjoying the sunset out at sea. All for just 550 baht per person. The boat tour took us around to Monkey Beach, Shark Point, The Beach (yes, the one with Leonardo DiCaprio), Bamboo Island, Viking Cave, and some amazing snorkeling spots. The monkeys at Monkey Beach were so eager for tourists to feed them that the baby monkeys would climb up people's legs. I wasn’t having any of that, so I stayed in the water! You really don’t have to do anything to get a tan here. It comes naturally! We slathered on tons of sunscreen, but we still ended up with some nice red backs from snorkeling in that stunning blue water. For lunch, we were served rice with vegetables, which we enjoyed in the shade on Bamboo Island. This island had beautiful white sand and turquoise blue water as far as the eye could see. It was refreshing to take a dip. The heat is definitely cranked up here in Thailand! The Beach was gorgeous, really gorgeous. The beach was surrounded by cliffs, so you had to sail through a narrow passage to get to The Beach that was featured in the movie with Leonardo DiCaprio. At 6:30 PM, we sailed out into the middle of the sea to catch the sunset, which turned the whole sky red and orange. Our sunburned bodies looked even redder in that light :) Phi Phi is super cozy and just oozes atmosphere. We had dinner right by the water. A kilogram of freshly caught fish grilled to perfection cost only 400 baht.
