Sight seeing in Pisa

We slept quite late after yesterday's wine bottles. It is possible to get a free "late check out". Instead of leaving the hotel at 12 noon, you can extend your stay until 14:00. Then you have to pay if you want to stay. It was fine that we slept the morning away as it was raining heavily and thundering. When we finally woke up, the weather was fine, so we went for a walk to the leaning tower where there are always many people. Yes, the tower looked the same as the last time we saw it :o) Most of the shops were closed, but there were quite a few stalls in the streets with antiques, jewelry and handicrafts. Of course, there were several restaurants open so we could have a real Italian lunch. 3 courses for 12 euros. Lasagna for starter, chicken for main course and tiramisu for dessert. The bus to the airport costs only 1.5 euros and departs right in front of the hotel, so why not save some money on a taxi :o)
