Life on board Norwegian Sun

We sail with the cruise ship Norwegian Sun. A small ship with only 2000 passengers and around 900 crew members. That's a relatively high proportion of employees on a ship and you can feel it. No stress, the service is top notch, lots of smiles and there is time to talk to us passengers. There are both advantages and disadvantages to a smaller ship. There's no big water park or giant gocart track on top of the ship. But there are, as always, swimming pools, hot tubs, fitness center, sports court, table tennis, specialty restaurants, kids club, theater and lounges. The theater is probably the smallest we've seen on a cruise ship, but there are still brand new shows/artists every night. Every ship we've sailed on has something special, including Norwegian Sun. We especially enjoy the amazing ocean view areas on the ship! Whether it's the lounges or enjoying dinner. We have cruised a lot with Norwegian and have now become platinum members, which means that we get free laundry and access to specialty restaurants etc. It's really great to have that extra luxury... On sea days, we've also had the opportunity to do homework, as we teach our children along the way. But otherwise we've also just had fun, played a lot of cards, four in a row, Uno and yes, just had fun as a family. The children are growing up fast and for us it's important to have as many good family moments as possible. I have to say that we have gotten that, which is absolutely fantastic. There are not many children on the ship. Only 10 under the age of 12 and 19 between 12 and 17. But our 7-year-old son Villads has gone crazy practicing English, especially with the children. He listens everywhere on the ship to what they say and repeats their sentences. He understands more and more and can express himself better and better in English.
