Thailand - Pattaya and Koh Lan

We are in Thailand and today we explored Pattaya and Koh Lan. Koh Lan is a beautiful tropical island located just a 30-minute ferry ride from Pattaya. Thailand is known for having some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and on Koh Lan, you won't be disappointed. We've never visited the island before! It was good that we arrived early so we had the island pretty much to ourselves. By midday, the beaches were packed with tourists and locals. There are plenty of opportunities for beach activities such as banana boats, paragliding and snorkeling. Pattaya is known for a sex industry. Old European men with young Thai women. But it seems like the city is so much more now. It's full of families with children, Indians, Russians, Chinese tourists who have nothing to do with the industry. In Pattaya we visited a Danish restaurant. "Restaurant Kronborg" has been around for many years. Bjarne, the owner of the restaurant, bought a single ticket to Thailand and has since run the restaurant in Pattaya. Danes gather at the restaurant and we met a few Danes living here. They were very chatty and one of them accompanied us to the local market. It was fun to experience the restaurant with a huge Danish feel!
