Last Hike on Sao Antao

Our last day on Sao Antao was, of course, spent on a hike. This time it was about 4 hours long 😗 The trail started right outside our hotel door in the village of Coculi. It’s more than easy to find beautiful hiking routes on Sao Antao. The nature here is breathtaking, and it’s definitely the prettiest island in Cape Verde 🏔️ Cape Verde is poor, and many people don’t have much to get by 💸 But the impression I get is that folks manage to have their daily meals and are generally happy. The crime rate is low, which is such a relief—you don’t have to worry too much about personal safety 😎 It’s also considered "Africa light," and it’s super exciting to be here 😙 Right now, we’re just sitting and waiting for the ferry back to Sao Vicente 😎
