Canada Day in Banff

Here in Banff, nature is truly breathtakingly beautiful 🏔️ 🍁🇨🇦 Today was Canada Day, Canada’s national day! 🇨🇦🍁 And here in Banff it’s really celebrated. There was a huge parade, lots of flags, events, local markets and activities for the whole family, including plenty for the kids. We obviously had to experience that. 🎉🥁🍁 We’re staying at Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court. Yes, these campgrounds get booked long in advance. We reserved back in February, and the spots sold out within a few hours. I sat ready in the queue system, and we were lucky to get a spot. 🚐 The campground is huge, but there’s really fierce competition for the spots. It’s in no way something you can just count on getting on the day, unless you’re very lucky that someone has cancelled. From the campground you can take the shuttle bus into downtown Banff. As a guest at the campground it’s included in your stay, so it’s both easy and convenient. And then you can also enjoy a beer or a drink without having to think about driving. 🍺🚌 If you’re in Canada on the 1st of July, we can only recommend experiencing Canada Day. 🇨🇦 We thought it was a fantastic experience, and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing! ❤️ Tonight we’re having dinner with a fantastic view over the mountains and Banff 🏔️
