Barranco, Lima, by night

The time has come to fly back to Lima, as we fly home on Sunday. Several companies offer the destination Cusco-Lima. We fly with StarPeru. It's best to fly in the morning as there are often several flights that are canceled throughout the day due to weather conditions, which often get worse. Therefore, it is recommended to avoid flights in the late afternoon and evening. Our departure was around 13:00, so we were anxious to get going. Our flight was delayed twice - a total of 50 minutes - but eventually we did leave. We met our 2 American friends from Machu Picchu - homosexuals with a capital H - at the airport in Lima. One of them had put his camera in the luggage he had checked in. Not a good idea. Now the camera was missing. A dishonest person in charge of scanning the luggage in Cusco had snatched the camera. Our second visit to Lima was to take place in the Barranco district, which is also one of the better neighborhoods in the capital. Barranco is known for its many restaurants and bars - and it certainly has that. Summer is coming to Peru, so there was a city market with food stalls until late into the night. Grilling, drinking and eating the most amazing cakes.
