Arrived in New York

In Frankfurt, we arrived a little later by the office when the plane had to drive back when a lady of a sudden. We never found out why ... 8 hours later we landed at JFK. The airport is so great that we drove around for 15 minutes before we got to our stopping place. We had heard that immigration could be severe and long-consuming to get through. But fortunately we stroked just straight through. A taxi from the airport cost 45 usd. Quite expensive, but it reflects just that we have arrived at a modern metropolis full of rich people. Home, we booked a room at a hostel where we will live the next seven days. Space is only about 8 m2. So the bed fills most of the space. We landed late Friday evening. Shops are always open - many around the clock. They are open on Christmas Eve, all Christmas day, New Years Eve and even the first January. The dry air in the plane had been launched in Jans cough, but fortunately had a pharmacy near our hostel open.
