The day started with a treetop hike at Redwoods Forest. Here you can experience the giant redwoods. Most people have seen the famous trees from the US where cars can drive through 🚘 Same variety, just a bit younger and smaller, but still very impressive 😋 Like other activities in New Zealand, walking 45 minutes in the treetops is not cheap. We had to drop 500kr for the family. Afterwards we took a 2 hour hike in the area at ground level. It was completely free, but actually much more impressive 😙 In Rotorua they have a park with a great playground 🛝 Next to the playground there are lots of thermal activities 😮 It's sizzling and bubbling from underground everywhere. In fact, there's a smell of sulfur and rotten eggs everywhere in the city. But we got used to it very quickly 😚 This afternoon we drove to Kerosene Creek. A waterfall and river with thermal activities where we bathed in the warm water. Yes everywhere the underground is active. It's quite fascinating 🤩
