It was a rough start to the day after last night’s party. At exactly 9 AM, we were picked up and driven up into the mountains along winding roads to a lake south of Salta, where we were set to go rafting on a tributary. The winding mountain roads were especially tough on Honnys’ stomach, so he had to make a quick stop to relieve himself... Finally, we arrived at the launch point for our rafting adventure, where we got fitted with life jackets and helmets. We enjoyed a fantastic two-hour ride down the river in stunning surroundings, passing through nine rapids in style. After the rafting, we were driven down the mountain to a restaurant for some asado – grilled meat. The descent was hard on Honnys’ stomach again, so we had to pull over on the side of the road... We hadn’t lost our appetite and were hoping for food as good as what we had on our trip yesterday... unfortunately, the meal didn’t quite meet our expectations. But it was nice to finally get something in our stomachs since we had skipped breakfast :o) We were back in the city by evening, where we headed to the travel agency that had put us on the waiting list for flights to Buenos Aires. We got lucky – we’re flying out on Monday :) After a good dinner, we decided to take a night in, so we can rest up and be ready for tomorrow – mountain biking!
