Sightseeing in Salta

We didn't wake up until late in the morning after last night's adventures. Today is our last day here, so we plan to explore the city a bit more. After having breakfast/lunch, we took a taxi to the base of San Bernado Hill, where you can take a cable car to the top and enjoy the view over the entire city. A round-trip ticket only costs 8 pesos. San Bernado Hill is next to a park where the locals in Salta come to spend their weekends with family. There's a lake with pedal boats, rowboats, a playground, little stalls selling candy, cakes, toys, and artists showcasing their crafts. After paddling around in a rowboat, we strolled through the stalls, where Honny bought two large wooden beer mugs. We also did a bit of shopping at the top of San Bernado Hill, where we picked up a stone cactus. Before heading out for dinner, we packed our backpacks so we’re ready for tomorrow morning when we fly to Buenos Aires. At the restaurant, they had a deal on a great three-course menu for just 14 pesos. Can it get any cheaper? ;o)
