Port city of Puerto Cortes

The day started with the sun shining but the rain took over the afternoon. We are soon indifferent to the rain when we were taken to the port city of Puerto Cortes, from where the boat to Belize sailing in the morning - and we are certainly with. Honduras has not been achieved to be on our list of favorite countries. The country has not won our hearts. It does not naturally people to smile or be helpful. Honduras is not an easy trip country. There are few attractions and many restrictions. One should always take care of themselves. Of course there are always exceptions where you suddenly meetings helpful and nice people. When we arrived in Puerto Cortes, stopped a nice car. A lady and a man asked in English if they could drive us to a hotel - actually speaks no English in this country. They could see we were surrounded by local, all of which would take us to a hotel. To get to Puerto Cortes, you must first take a bus from Tela to San Pedro Sule, the city you prefer to stay away from, but many still end up in, as it is a hub for traffic throughout the country. From San Pedro Sule go directly minibuses to Puerto Cortes. "Direct buses" is so much said. The bus keeps running across the city until it is filled up. It may take time. When it finally has towards the final destination, stopping often to put people off. Underwater burst people into the bus. Some people would sell things that others preached to us. A young man buttoning his shirt up so you could see all his tattoos on the body. It is often a sign that he belonged to a gang. We understand that he had reversed his life and work now for God. The local gave him any money ... Well arrived in Puerto Cortes we saw to our surprise that there were fast food chains - Pizza Hot, Burger King and Wendys. We are pleased to rice and beans, but we could not now refuse Pizza Hot a visit:) There are security guards around all the time in the city. Although the Internet café is guarded. In the evening we must not move outside. So we have eaten much dinner - a lot - so we are not hungry tonight.
