Greece has really spoilt us with fantastic weather and lots of sunshine ☀️ Now we're sitting in the airport waiting to fly home - and fittingly enough, it's today that the rain is pouring down 🌧️ It doesn't matter so much when you're on your way home anyway. Week 42 is the school autumn holidays, so unfortunately prices are much higher than usual. Here's a small overview of our travelling expenses: ✈️ Charter trip (flight + hotel with breakfast): approx. 4,800 DKK per person 🚗 Car hire for 1 week (from the airport): DKK 913 in total (≈ DKK 130 per day) Boat hire : €596 per day + €372 for fuel 🍽️ Dinner at a restaurant (main course + dessert): approx. 75 kr. per person Most people choose a transfer as an add-on to their charter holiday - it typically costs DKK 300-400 per person round trip. But it quickly becomes more expensive than hiring a car directly at the airport, which is both more flexible and cheaper. Several travellers we met also rented a car locally in the city for around €40 per day. Our experience remains clear: it' s best to rent a car at the airport - both in terms of price and convenience 🚙☀️
