Day trip to Lefkada

We've been on a few day trips to neighboring Lefkas - a beautiful Greek island in the Ionian Sea, easily accessible via a small bridge from the mainland. The island offers quaint towns like Lefkas Town, beautiful coastlines and some of Greece's most famous beaches 🌊🇬🇷 One of the most famous is Porto Katsiki , often referred to as one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece. Located in the south of the island, it's surrounded by high white cliffs and the sea is the perfect azure color associated with Greece. Even my 84-year-old grandmother had to struggle up and down the many stairs leading down to the beach - but she still found it worth the effort. We were really impressed with Porto Katsiki - a definite must do on Lefkas. There aren't many facilities, just a small kiosk and a toilet, so you shouldn't expect luxury. That said, we think Simos Beach on the island of Elafonisos is even more beautiful 😉 ☀️
