🏔️🚴‍♂️ Today we visited what is probably Canada’s most famous mountain lake, Lake Louise. 💙 There’s no way we could drive our big motorhome up there, so we found another solution. We rented bikes for the day and cycled the roughly 5.5 km up to the lake. 🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️ Yes, it really was uphill! In several places the climbs were pretty steep, but all four of us made it. 💪 The price was a bit steep too, around 350 DKK per bike, but getting there by shuttle bus isn’t cheap either. Lake Louise is truly beautiful with its turquoise meltwater and the impressive mountains around the lake. 😍 On the other hand, there really are a lot of tourists here! If you ask the kids, it’s actually not more beautiful than Emerald Lake. They thought Emerald Lake was the prettiest! Both lakes are absolutely fantastic though. 💙 Several great hikes start from Lake Louise. We walked to the Lake Agnes Tea House. The hike is about 7 km round trip with roughly 400 metres of elevation gain, so it’s uphill pretty much the whole way. Most people take 3 to 4 hours, and the view just gets better and better along the way. 🥾⏰ We had lunch at the Lake Agnes Tea House. 🍰🥪 The prices actually weren’t too bad, considering all the goods are flown in by helicopter several times a week. 🚁 It turned into yet another day with plenty of kilometres on the legs, beautiful views and experiences! But then you also sleep a lot better 🇨🇦😊
