Cusco City

Again, we got a bus company recommended - San Luis. We had asked for a tourist bus, which was supposed to be safer. Perhaps it is because there are not so many tourists in Puno at the moment that the bus was filled up by locals. Again, we were not filmed before we got on the bus. The trip took about 7 hours and cost 25 S per ticket. The 2 times we have driven by local bus, several people have lined up in the aisle to preach.Some people talk about salvation and want to sell their video. Others will sell teeth whitener. Yes, only the imagination limits the content of the speakers. Cusco is Peru's most touristy city, which is clearly visible. The area around Plaza de Armas oozes with life. It's super cozy here. Again, keep in mind that you are in a country where over 50% live below the poverty line of USD 2 per day.It is not the beggars on the street who pose the greatest threat. It is they, often young men, who have decided to live a different life - whatever the cost. In Cusco, they arrive in the evening where they list around. Some whisper if we want to buy drugs. Others are looking for easy victims. Cusco is a lovely place to get to as a tourist. There are restaurants from all over the world - Mexico, Korea, Italy, China, etc.Massages are offered at the same prices as in Thailand. 1 hour massage with, among other things, hot stones costs only 15 S. The city is teeming with shops with all sorts of souvenirs - often knitted in llama/alpaca wool such as hats, scarves, mittens, sweaters, toy animals, etc. The prices of hotels and restaurants around Plaza de Armas are high. Walk a few steps down a side street and the price level is completely different.We found a Mexican restaurant that offered appetizer, starter, main course and a glass of wine for only 15 S.
