Puno City

The next morning, our legs were still very sore, so we looked funny walking down the street. But that didn't stop us from taking the backpack on our backs and moving on to the next city - Puno. We had a bus company recommended -Tulsa. It turned out to be a local bus that only cost 15 S for a bus ride of 5 hours. Usually a ticket costs 40 S. It is safest to avoid local transport, as there is the greatest risk of losing your luggage here.We took the chance, and luckily it went well. Nor were we filmed before we got on the bus. Puno is Peru's most touristy city after Cuzco, which has Machu Picchu. Puno's main attraction is Lake Titicaca, famous for its beautiful peaceful islands where traditions are kept alive. Puno's cityscape is adorned by women wearing bowler hats and brightly coloured dresses. One must stay away from the outer lying edges of the city, as they may be unsafe.The area around Plaza de Armas should be fine. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafes and travel agencies. Almost everything a tourist needs.
