All-inclusive day
A day spent relaxing on the all-inclusive hotel Sol Palmeras in Varadero on Cuba.
We went for a morning stroll on the beach, which was washed blue jelly-fish up. Do not swim in them - they can be compared a little with one fireman. Since we arrived yesterday, there have been some wind, so Varadeo beach presents itself not at its best, but you can still see the water, beautiful turquoise color, although the waves are high. We arrived at the Sol Palmeras in an old car from the 20s, currently running around the streets as taxis. Check-in is normally at first. 16 on All-Inclusive hotels, but we had stored our luggage and fitted with a bracelet, which shows that you have access to all hotel facilities. Kl. was only 11, but the hotel was happily willing to take against us already. We were upgraded for free from standard bongalow to junior suite - just ask, you can only get no: o) All-inclusive means that all food and beverages such as spirits, beer and wine are ad libitum. Sol Palmeras offers the following restaurants: Steakhouse, Italian, Chinese, Cuban, and a buffet restaurant. The restaurants are popular, so there must be booked onboard. One can not, unfortunately, just turn up. There are also several bars inside and outside. You can enjoy beer, wine but also Mojitos, Pina Colada, etc. The hotel also has a board which informs about activities such as Taichi, table tennis tournament, dance and Spanish lessons. There are activities throughout the day. Sol Palmeras is located just down the beach but also has a large pool, if desired. In the evening there is a show that varies from day to day. Jan was obviously in the table tennis tournament .... but did not win. We also participated in Spanish teaching. We spoke with a waiter about the places we had been in Cuba. As he himself said: "This hotel is not Cuba. It could be in Europe." Its incredibly relaxing to be at an all-inclusive hotel, but you do not experience the country, culture and sentiment behind the walls. Varadeo have not the Cuban atmosphere, but is a city with massive tourism. A place that Cubans themselves are not afford to come.
