Macao was a brief interlude on our Hong Kong and China journey, with casinos, Portuguese traces and a distinctive blend of European and Chinese culture.
Macao lies close to Hong Kong but has its own history as a former Portuguese colony. We visited during our New Year journey to Hong Kong and China and encountered a compact world of casinos, dense streets and architecture where Portuguese and Chinese influences meet.
