Today, we were finally discharged. My blood levels were improving, but they still weren't back to normal yet. We got a list of medications to pick up at the hospital pharmacy. The total bill for my four days in the hospital and the meds came to 1070 RM. Jan had a slightly smaller bill since he spent one night less than I did. We decided to catch the next flight back to Bangkok and spend our last week in Thailand, as we couldn't make it all the way to Singapore, which was originally our plan. When we got to the airport, we found out we couldn't get a direct flight to Bangkok until the next day, so we booked a ticket to Kuala Lumpur instead, from where we could catch a flight to Bangkok. Our tickets cost about 1500 DKK each for both routes. Our other option was a 24-hour bus ride to Bangkok, but we didn't want to lose any more time on our trip. Jan wasn't too keen on flying again, and he hadn't had a chance to take his anti-anxiety pills since we left the hospital in a bit of a scramble. So, as soon as we boarded the plane, he ordered some beer and wine to calm his nerves. Finally, we were back in Thailand and ready to continue our adventure. We took a taxi from the airport to Jysk Rejsebureau's hotel, New Rotel, where we got a double room with air conditioning and breakfast included for 660 baht. We found a cozy little Indian restaurant that felt like a cave for dinner. Afterwards, we headed to Patpong's night market, where we ended up buying a ton of stuff.
