Cienfuegos, Perla del Sur

It was intended that we would take Viazul bus (32 CUC per. Ticket) further from the Vinales Cienfuegos, but it was fullybooked. Instead, we could come up with a taxi for only 35 CUC per. personality and the drive would only be five hours instead of 7 hours. We have to share the taxi with two others, but it turned out, unfortunately that one was ill the evening, probably because of something they had eaten. So we had the whole taxi for ourselves - not bad: o) There are no barriers out on the highway, which is three track. So if you see a cafeteria on the other side of the road as youd like more than to run you just over the median, which is a strip of grass mowing by hand with a laugh. In several places we saw people walking around with a laugh to keep the grass down. Actually done much work by hand. We have not seen a single tractor yet. Its always horses or cows abejder the ground. Cienfuegos is a Unesco city where the old neighborhood with the beautiful buildings from the colonial era is worth preserving. Cienfuegos leads to a long rod with a boardwalk, Malecon, across the road and water on both sides that leads to the richer area called Punta Gorda. There is Casa Particulara to find both places. It is not far from one place to another place. You can jump on a bicycle taxi or a horse, which is the preferred mode of transport. We chose to go around - all the way from the center of Punta Gorda, resulting in a small park overlooking the sea on both sides. We stayed in the old neighborhood, but Punta Gorda seems incredibly comfortable and relaxed. More Casa Particulara located directly on the beach. Cuba has its own fast food chain called El Rapido. But like many other places, there is always something that is unsold. There is often a lack of things. El Rapido had beautiful pictures of the menus, but when it came to it was only spaghetti, which was back - but only a portion: o) Besides the beautiful buildings, the city is also famous for its dolphinarium, built in the dolphins natural habitat. It is close to the beach, Playa Rancho Luna, just south of Cienfuegos. Here you can get up to stand on the dolphin snout, while the rush through the water, it costs 35 CUC, if you book through travel agent Cubatur in Cienfuegos. Normal admission costs 8 CUC per. person. To get there, you just jump on the local bus - which surely is crammed to bursting point. Unfortunately dolphinarium closed on Wednesday, so we could not get to see it.
